ROUND 1
Round one of the Rockstar Spring League 2 series featured a new 7:00pm start time allowing anyone getting stuck in the office or traffic a little extra time to make it in. The six round series awards prizes to the top three drivers in an overall points standings at round six. If you’re a new or experienced driver leagues are the ultimate race experience.
A main number one kicked off racing with a clean start. Bj C. started making moves early and quickly got around Michael M. into third but see Michael pass him back a lap later. Travis T. and Ron W. started their battle early as well and went back and forth for most of the race. Unfortunately for them, the battle would slow them down and as they would fade back in the pack. Chase T. who started on the pole had Ryan S. breathing down his neck 5 laps into it. As the race went on and drivers would get into lap traffic allowing Chase to gap Ryan the slightest bit spreading out third and fourth. Ryan turned the fastest lap a 19.957 allowing him to close the gap and get around Chase for first at the start finish line. Chase pushed his limit going into the one-eighty looking to pass him back but Ryan was able to hold him off. Michael M. was turning fast consistent laps in third, as he was hunting down Chase. They were catching up to another group of lappers it would look as if they would play a big factor in slowing one of them down. Both drivers were able to maneuver around cleanly. With only 5 laps remaining Michael caught Chase and applied the pressure for the next three laps until getting around him with two laps remaining. The top three finished as follows, Ryan in First, Michael in second, and Chase in third.
The second A main looked to be a good one leading into it. Ryan on the pole led the field into a clean start. Again Ron and Travis would start off the race battling. Travis found his grove and better lines late in the first main and would be able to sneak away after a few laps. The top five spread out relatively quickly giving them all some breathing room. Philip S. was slowly catching up to Bj and took the breathing room away. Staying calm under the pressure Bj caught up to Randy in fourth at the midway mark. Ryan would again be out front and turn the fastest lap time and have no pressure. A battle would ensue back in fifth place with Bj, Philip, and Randy. Philip all over Bj would get a drive at the finish and pull along side of Bj. Not able to make the pass would go side by side into the one-eighty. Randy back in sixth seeing this all go down right in front of him stuck right be right behind Bj as he would force Philip to the outside allowing Randy around him. Chase having plenty of breathing room on fourth got caught up in lapped traffic making a mistake and got stuck on a barrier dropping him back to seventh with three laps remaining. Philip would be all over Randy looking to pass him back but unable to with no mistakes by Randy.
With the consistent battles that arose left many drives talking about the fun and excitement of what took place on the track. Round one was great fun and what looks to be a great start to the spring league 2 series. Tune in next week for what I am sure will be even more action, or better yet come race leagues and be a part of all the fun!
ROUND 2
Round two of the Rockstar Spring league 2 series would see a few new drivers that came looking to get into contention. With the drop one round rule for our series any driver would still be able to drop that first round and with some consistent driving be very capable of still be taking home the points series.
The first A main kicked off quickly when Jared W. passed Ron W. on the inside of the first corner. This wouldn’t last long as Jared would start to fade back into the pack as the laps ticked away. A pack of three drivers would be catching him fast looking to make there way to the front. These drivers included Michael M., Jereme W., and Randy G. Jereme turned up the pressure, as he would make a pass on Randy only to see him make an attempt on passing back in the second one-eighty. By this time Michael would start to inch away giving him a little breathing room. This would bring us to the halfway mark with James C still in the lead with Chase right behind him. As they came into the split a lapped driver would stay on the inside holding James up and allow Chase to make the pass. This would give James to see the other side of things. He would now be the one applying the pressure to Chase. With the two battling up front this would slow them the slightest bit and allow third through fifth to catch up making it a five-way battle coming to the end. James would make one last chance to going on the inside but chase would close the door and go on for the win.
The second main event was crazy and one for the books. The passing would be going on everywhere for the first few laps as drivers were taking advantage of every little mistake. Chase fell back to seventh by the fifth lap as well as James back into sixth. Bj on the other hand would be moving forward into second with Jeremy right behind him in third. Jeremy moved passed Bj and set his sights on the leader. Michael also started putting down his fast laps and passed Bj. Ryan S. put the pressure on Bj towards the end of the race but didn’t find a line to get around. The top three would come from the back of the field and be Jeremy in first, Michael in second, and Bj in third.
With the second main event being a great one and so crazy it would make capturing all the passing a tough one. For those of you who haven’t checked out leagues do so and be a part of all the action, fun and, prizes next Wednesday at 6:30pm.
ROUND 3
Round three of the Spring League 2 series had the biggest turn out of the series yet. This would set up racing for A and B mains. The top 8 would go to the A main and the rest to the B main. Word was floating around that one of those drivers had put down 19-second laps earlier in the week and everyone would be curious how he would do in a race.
The first B main started off clean and the people in the back of the field were first to try and make a move. David T. had a good drive on Tim S. coming across the finish line. However it would not be enough as Tim held him off. Tim started getting in the groove and dropping his lap times. James C. and Travis T. who started one two started to pull away with ten laps remaining. Tim was stuck behind Ron W. for a few laps as Ron would be driving quick laps. He would be able to make the pass by diving on the inside going into the second one-eighty. After the pass and a clean track ahead of Tim he was able to set his sights on the front two. He was able to put A 20.3 down and was the fastest lap of the race. This allowed him to catch Travis and James up front. James would feel the pressure after Tim tried to drive to the inside entering the second one-eighty. Travis wouldn’t be affected as Tim would try it couple more times but be unsuccessful, as the race would come to an end.
Entering the second main event they would start close opening a whole set of battles. James again led them into a clean start and David would make quick work of Ron at the first one-eighty. Things would stay calm for 6 laps with the leaders bumper to bumper as they pulled away the slightest bit. Tim would try diving to the inside in the one-eighty as he did in the first race and be shut down once again. Things would remain the same with James still leading followed by a close Travis and Tim with six remaining. The close racing up front slowed them just enough for David to catch up. As the race came near the end things would start to heat up. Travis snuck to the inside of James, as he was moving over resulting in James spinning out. Travis would receive the black flag, which allowed Tim around into first. This black flag also allowed David to catch Travis and put the pressure on. However it would not be enough and Finish with Tim in first followed by Travis and David.
Jumping to the A main New driver Theodore was the one everyone was talking about. The random grid set up the battle perfectly with Theodore on the pole followed by Jereme W. and Michael M. The start was clean as Randy made a pass on Chase in the first straight. The top three jumped out to a quick lead as Jereme tried to make Theodore nervous. Not affected, he would drive the fast line and be able to hold the lead. Randy and Ryan S. would catch up to Nathaniel in sixth leaving two three-way battles on the track. Not to far in front of them would be Bj C. and Chase T. in another battle this would be something to keep an eye on. Meanwhile Theodore and Jereme started to pull Michael and be alone in the battle. With no pressure, Jereme would be able to try new lines in second trying to make a move into first. It looked as if Jereme was going to try and dive to the inside towards the end of the race so that there would be no time to get passed back. With seven laps to go chase made his way to the inside of Bj entering the split with to much speed to hold the inside. Chase pushed Bj into the split causing barriers to come loose and a stoppage to the race would have to occur. The Track would get repaired and every driver was lined back up at the finish for the restart in the order they were at the stopping point. The restart was clean and Jereme would make another pass attempt at the finish line to be denied one more time. This allowed Theodore to get a slight gap and not have pressure at the end of the race. Top three would end with Theodore in first, Jereme in second, and Michael in third.
After a great first race, the drivers lined back up and give it another go. This time Jereme would be looking for redemption. Jereme would try to make a move two laps in crossing the finish line. To do so he went outside entering the last turn and someone would get under him spinning him out early. This gave Theodore a quick gap and let him turn fast laps. Randy and Ryan found themselves battling again. Ryan put a move on randy going into the second one-eighty but drifted wide across the finish line only for randy to pass him back. This led the into the first one-eighty with more speed then usual as each driver was trying to out drive the other. Randy had the line and Ryan dove to the inside but trying to avoid hitting randy and a black flag he slid sideways and stuck him self into the barriers. At the halfway point Jereme would be all over Bj and make a clean pass moving him back into third and still looking at catching second. They would slightly spread out as the race progressed but not fourth and fifth. Randy caught Bj in fourth with only four laps remaining. Randy would show Bj a wheel going into the second one-eighty and make the pass stick across the finish line. In the midst of the battle Chase caught them as well. Chase would also be able to slide by Bj at the finish line leaving one lap left. Bj would get fired up and shoot right back by entering the first one eighty and hold him off to cross the checkered in fifth.
The A main would be the one to talk about tonight as we would see the new comer Theodore take home a one-one against a proven to be fast Jereme Wall. Along with the restart of the first A main there was a lot happening as well as in the B main. This will end the first half of the series and lead into a Week off. So get your practice in Wednesday with two four min. heats for only fifteen dollars. Then come prove your skill Wednesday May 30th for the second half of the Rockstar spring league 2 series.

The sixth and final round of the spring leagues kicked off this Wednesday and it was an eventful night. Many of the drivers are shooting for the chance to drive a rotax racing kart with our performance division. Points would be close and all come down to the nights finishes. The B main saw our points leader Scott R. in it for the final round due to a struggle in qualifying.
Scott would be the talk of the b main as he was gridded in eighth place for the start. Everyone made it through the start clean and saw the top four get a quick lead on the rest of the field. Bj C. started making passes quickly and was one of the drivers that pulled up next to Michael D. making the pass into third. A four-way battle made the front pack slow down a bit. Scott would be on the charge and at the half way mark, switching up his lines to make the passes on other drivers. By this point, Bj would be into first and have a nice little cushion. Scott caught the pack that was in front of him and was able to make smooth passes to get into second going into the first one-eighty. There wouldn’t be enough time to catch Bj. Coming to the finish Tom K. would be all over James C. but unable to make the pass. The top three would end with Bj. in first, Scott in second, and James in third. The second main had Scott starting right behind Bj. allowing him to put pressure on right away. Six laps into it, Scott would make the pass going into the split. Another battle that was continued into the second main was James and Toni. The battle would carry on well into the race with James able to hold everyone off allowing Derek B. to catch up. Derek was able to find his way around Toni with half the race remaining. James, still driving a great race, would drive slightly on the defensive side still maintaining his speed. Going into the second one-eighty Derek got slightly bumped and spun out leaving James with another gap that was needed. Coming down to the end they would catch back up and see James make a mistake in the last corner and loose two spots. Scott R would go 2-1 for the overall win hoping that would be enough points in the end.
A main wouldn’t see Jeremy Wall tonight. Being one of the front-runners in points, this mixed things up even more. Michael M. had a back of the pack start and would have his work cut out for him if he wanted to steal the championship away. It was a clean start with Greg W. passing John R. down the front straight then Philip S. around the finish line into first place. Chase T. would start in fifth and start making his passes starting with John into third. John would be able to keep the pace that chase was running looking to make a move back around him. With thirteen laps remaining, four drivers battled for second place. Ryan S. was locked into a battle with Brian C. and was able to make a pass with a better line around the finish line corner. Meanwhile Greg would be up front and extending his lead with his consistent driving. Michael M, the driver who would be looking to capitalize on Scott R’s misfortune, would be having a rough race in ninth place. With the laps winding down in the first main, the four drivers all battling for second would still be battling and trading positions. John would be trying to make the pass back on Matt A. but Chase would make a move on Philip at the split forcing him to the outside allowing Matt around as well. Coming across the finish it would end with Greg, Chase, and Matt on the podium. Into the second main event Michael would still be in ninth place trying to do everything he could to advance positions gaining well-needed points. Four laps into the race he would be able to make his way into fifth putting him into a group of five all battling for the second spot. Ryan would get a chance on Randy coming across the finish line and make the pass only to have Randy almost pass him back at the split. Battles would continue within the pack for over half the race, any driver making a slight mistake cost them multiple positions. Michael got around Matt at the split and would start catching Philip. Charging hard, he saw some of his fastest laps turning a few in the high 19 seconds. Once Michael caught Philip, he bumped him to make the pass. Michael, knowing the pass wasn’t clean, let him back around which allowed Ryan to close the gap and put more pressure on. He would try to make a move on Philip again but would be unsuccessful coming down on the last lap. Ryan saw an opportunity in the second one eighty and dove in hard trying make the pass on Michael. Michael had the inside on the last corner and was able to hold off Ryan across the checkered flag.
Wrapping up the league points would be a nail biter. Scott did the best he could do in the B main and Michael’s struggles in the first A main left everyone guessing while the points were tallied. After it was all said and done, the new champion would win it by a single point. Scott R. was able to squeak it out and be the new Unser Racing ROCKSTAR League Champion winning a day at the track driving a real race go-kart. Scott didn’t have an overall win and proved that consistency wins championships while Jeremy Wall ended in second and Michael M. in third. Both very close in points and sure to be back for the next leagues starting May 2nd with a new seven o’clock start time. If you haven’t made it out be sure to come earn your shot to be dubbed the Unser Racing ROCKSTAR League Champion.

This week, league qualifying was tough and saw some of the usual A main drivers spread out between mains with some even going into the C main. This could mix up points and make it an interesting night.
The C main had a clean start with James M. making moves quickly going from fourth place on the start to the lead by lap two. This would lead into a great battle between James M, Philip R., and James cook. The three of them drove bumper to bumper for four laps before James C. would try to make a move at the finish around Philip but was unable. Philip would make a move on the inside of the second one-eighty on James. This would cause him to drive wider then normal allowing James C. to follow through into second. Ryan S. would be making up time on the top three while they would be battling back and forth. Moving the battle back to third place. It would come down to the wire and with Ryan taking new lines trying to make a pass, Phillip S. would dive to the inside on the second one-eighty and make the pass going into the last lap. Main event two would have Ryan making the moves early. Passing both Philip S. and James M at the finish line. Philip would see Ryan go around James M. and try to do the same James would pick up on the line and not allow him by. With six laps to go Ryan caught up to James and put the pressure on. Again the battle would allow Philip S who turned the fastest lap to join the battle. James would drive slightly wide at the finish and allow Ryan to pull along side him. As they both were battling for the inside driving into each other Philip would make it three wide across the finish and pass them both on the outside. Ending with Philip R. in first, Philip S. into second, and Ryan into third.
B main number one would be a good start with Sean P. making a pass on Brian C. on the outside of the first one eighty but come into the second one eighty with to much speed and spin himself out. This would allow Brian to get around Toni K. only a few laps in. with the clean track ahead of him would be able to inch away each lap. BJ. C would be able to run some clean laps and start picking away at the gap between him and Toni. He would make the move after a couple laps of battling and leave Toni with another unwanted driver hot on his bumper. This would be Matt A. and with only two laps remaining he would look for a place to pass. He made one run at a pass coming up the checkered but would be a cart length back and not make it work. Main event two would see Brian starting on the pole after his earlier win but others looking to chase him down. Jacob U. the diver who spun early on race one would be putting the fast laps down in the high 19’s. The start finish line would be his spot to make passes. As he would pick drivers off one by one he would shave time of Brains lead. A tough pass would be to get around Toni and Matt quickly with only six laps to go but with a great line he would get around Matt at the finish and Toni going into the second one eighty. Everything would come down to the wire, as Jacob would catch Brian on the last lap. He would make a move with two corners to go and end up taking Brian out moving him back to fourth. Jacob would then slow down in the last corner waiting for Brian then crossed the line right behind him thus showing some of the great sportsman ship some drivers have.
A main saw a lot of mix up of drivers again this week with the randomization of the starting grid. Josh F. a new driver to the spring series would start on the pole. He would get a good start and be able to avoid any sort of mistake in the first turn. Scott R. and Randy G. would be right there putting on the pressure looking for any opening to get by. Just a little distance behind Michael M. and Jeremy W. would be racing bumper to bumper. Jeremy would be able to pull along side of Michael crossing the finish line carry more speed and make the pass on the outside of the first one eighty. Nine laps remaining Josh would be up front with Scott still all over him. Not fazed by the pressure Josh would turn the fastest lap of the race and 20.0. This would get him about a kart distance for the next 6 laps until Scott would be able to close the gap again and try and make a pass on the last lap last corner but would be just shy by a half a cart length. Going into the main event number two it would look to be a repeat. For the first five laps everyone would seem to follow and be in a single file line until they would start to group up and the action would begin. Jeremy W. in fourth place would be all over the bumper of Randy tapping the back of him around the track but not enough to earn a black flag. Eventually Jeremy would get just enough going into the split and Randy would try to squeeze to the inside and last second go to the outside and get into the barriers costing him a couple positions. Michael would be all over Jeremy as they went by and would soon make the pass on Jeremy. From here out the drivers would spread back out except the two front-runners Josh and Scott. These two would battle bumper to bumper but not make a pass leaving Josh to a back to back win which has only been done one other time before.
With only one round left, the points are tight and will most likely see a new champion. It’s still up for grabs and with the points as close as they are you can bet the last round will be the best one yet!

This week would start the second half of the league series and we start to see some development in the overall points. As mentioned last week, Jace would be back in points but would return this week. He was looking to drop week 3 and be back in the battle for the overall points. In the end, it was a close battle for the top five spots.
The C main would have seven drivers leaving more room on the track as well as better racing. John M. would start and look to pass quickly on Michael D. on the first lap but would be blocked. After two more laps he would be able to go to the lead entering the split while Michael took the outside. Derek B. would also make the move on the inside and quickly close the gap on Derek. This would turn into a good three-way battle very quickly. In the heat of the battle Toni would try to make the move on Derek bumping him and taking him out. He would earn a black flag loosing one position while depowered. This would put Derek to the back of the field and a lot of ground to make up in a short amount of time. He would make some great passes at the finish line moving through the pack, having speed that would make it look like drivers just moved out of his way. Back to back lap passes would be made at the finish line and with only one lap remaining he would catch the leader John M. with the pressure on he would again make the pass across the finish line and win by just Two hundredths of a second making four passes at the finish line on the last four laps. The second race wouldn’t see quite as much action. John M. would turn the fastest time by two tenths. Cody S would have a pretty good race as he would make the pass on John and hang with the quick driving of Derek until the last couple laps when Derek would gap him just a little to make it an easy finish of a one-one for him.
B main would start off clean and have Brian C. starting on the poll. Randy G. Last weeks winner of the A main would look to make the pass going into the second one eighty with a slight bump that was not enough to earn him a black-flag. Brian would hang right there for the next few laps and randy would take the outside of the split with seven laps to go allowing Brian to close the gap. Next lap around Randy would again take the outside letting Brian make an easy pass on the inside. Chase T. Jon R. and Sean P would have a good three-way battle for third going at one point going three wide across the finish line. Chase would be on the inside and be able to get around to take a comfortable third place. With the race on the last lap Randy would again have closed the gap on Brain but take the outside on the split loosing time and having no chance at a last min pass for the lead. The second main would have Brian slowly start to pull away as the race went on. James P. would pass John R. at the finish line with a better drive but would get passed back one lap later going into the second one eighty. John would turn the fastest lap time with a 20.2 a full two tenths faster then the rest of the field. Chase would also be tuning fast laps and catch up to Randy. With a failed attempt at a pass going into the second one eighty with three laps to go would lose ground that he made up and have no time to make it back up. Ending with Brian in first Randy in second and Chase in third.
The A main would see the randomizer set the fastest qualifier Jace H. on the pole and our top two in points Jeremy W. and Michael M. seventh and eighth. This would mix things up a bit and allow anything to happen. There would be a clean start and drive single file for about 4 laps. Then Jeremy and Michael would start trying to make their move. Jeremy would have the drive around the finish to pass Jacob U. and allow Michael to follow through on the inside. They would catch up to Matt A. and Jeremy would again show a wheel at the finish but this time not able to make the pass. At about the halfway point the field would start to spread except Jace H. and Philip R. in the front. There would be cart distance between them for the next two laps before Philip would catch Jace. Jace would start to Drive slightly defensive and allow Scott R to close the gap. Only five laps remaining it would be a battle for the top three. Scott would get around Philip quickly and set his eye on Jace. Scott would be looking for any way around. Coming around for the last lap Jace would drive extremely defensive making sure not to make any mistake. Jace would leave a slight opening coming into the last corner and Scott would make a push pulling up to the side of Jace but not be able to get the pass before crossing the finish. Jace would take the win with Scott right behind in second and Philip in third. Going into the second main would see a clean start. Michael M. who started in last the first main would be in fifth hoping to catch two very strong front-runners although they would prove to be strong and with in the first few laps would start to sneak away. Philip would feel the pressure and Matt A. to get to the inside going into the second one-eighty then going outside across the finish allowing Michael and Jeremy to make the pass on the inside. Michael would see the front-runners pulling away and see the urgency to make the pass on Matt and close the gap before it was to late. Michael tried to make a tough pass going into the first one-eighty Matt would shut the door and trying to avoid taking him out Michael slid and wedges himself into the barriers dropping back into last. We would see everyone pretty spread out after this with Michael making a last lap pass for a few needed points for the overall standings. Jace would go one-one after pulling away from Scott who had a big lead on third place Jeremy who started in Eighth for the second main.
There would be a clean sweep in all classes seeing Jace, Brian, and Derek all going one-one in there respected main events. This would make it the first time anyone has swept the A main. After missing last week Jace will drop that round in the overall points needing the sweep to make up those points. If the consistent driving keeps up it could lead him to a three-peat in leagues. Make sure to come to leagues Wednesday nights and see if you have what it takes to claim a win!

This week in leagues would have a good turn out of new drivers that were all looking to get a feel for the win. There would also be a little talk from racers about switching up the starting grid from random to qualifying time. But after a little more explanation we would stick with random grid leaving the drivers mixed up for the start.
C main would start off clean with BJ C. looking to make a early pass on James C however BJ would be blocked and be able to watch James line for a couple more laps learning anywhere he could make up a little time. After a few laps in the books he would be able to hold the finish line a little tighter with a better drive making the pass stick going into the first one eighty. This would allow Philip R. breathing down James neck however Derek B. would be right there as well putting the pressure on Philip. Derek would show Philip a wheel letting him know he was there with six laps to go. On lap five he would be able to sneak on the inside of the split making the pass. Coming into the second one eighty Philip would set up and make the pass back on the inside going over the finish line and two laps remaining. The little battle would allow BJ to get a comfortable lead at the end. Second main would take those gaps away and make it close right off the bat. Philip would have bad luck right off the start as Derek would try to get the jump on the inside and Philip would block but it was to late and got spun out. He would have a great drive coming through the pack to end up fifth. The early mishap would allow BJ to start to creep away having no one to deal with out front. Ryan S would start in fifth coming into the second main event and would be able to make his way to third right behind James as the race was winding down. They would come into the last corner bumper to bumper and would make some contact spinning James out and finishing second. But with the rules came a penalty and Ryan would be docked one position leaving him in third place.
The B Main would see some good racing as well Chase T. week one winner would be lined up on the pole and with a clean start he would be able to run clean fast laps to sneak away from the pack. For the rest of the field it would be a different story with a lot of battles and passing. Jacob U would start out in third place and try to make an early pass on Cody S. in second but be closed off quickly by some smart driving but it wouldn’t last long while he would make the pass on the inside of the finish line one lap later. Another battle would be in full effect at about the half way mark for fifth place and include three drivers. Oscar Z. would the one coming through the pack and quickly close up the gap on Chris D., Toni k., and Dan S. each driver would be trying to find there way around one another thus slowing them down the slightest bit. Oscar would make his way into sixth right behind Chris D in fifth at the checkered flag. The second main would again be a clean start and Tim W a usual A main driver would be looking to make a few passes. Jacob U. would show Chase a wheel coming around the finish line and be two tenths faster for most of the race. Chase would be able to smooth out his laps and hold of Jacob for a one, one finish. Behind that would be a battle for sixth place between Philip S., Tim W., and Toni K. With four laps to go Tim W. would be all over Philip S. and make the move around at the second one eighty on the inside with two laps to go to finish fifth.
The A main would be a clean start and see Randy G make an early pass on Garrett K. on the inside of the finish line. Randy would be able to run Fast laps with the clean track and get an early gap. Greg W. And Jeremy W. would both be randomly gridded at the back and have their work cut out for them. Greg would start clicking away positions by sneaking into the inside on the second one eighty while drivers were still taking the fast line but get blocked on the exit from the quicker entry speed of the inside. Jeremy would be on the tail of Greg through most of this and as the race went on they would slowly knock away at Randy’s lead. The half way mark would start the battle between the top three and every time Greg would show a wheel Randy would have the better drive and be able to hold him off. With about four laps to go a lapper would hold Greg up a little and allow Randy to gap him a little and Jeremy to pull right up on Greg. There would not be enough time left in the race to as they would group back up but finish with Randy First Greg in second and Jeremy in third. The second main would start off with Jeremy trying to get a better jump and make a pass within the first fifty feet. He would be block and allow Scott R. to sneak by until the split were Jeremy would have the inside again. Greg would be putting the pressure on Randy For the First few laps until Jeremy would pass on Greg spinning him out and earning him a black flag. Michael M would be close to Scott R and look for a place to get around but Scott would turn the fastest lap time a 19.901 and be able to hold him off. As the race was coming to the final lap Jeremy would catch Randy and look to make a pass. Randy would think he had it in the bag until the last corner Jeremy took a shot at it taking them both out. This would allow Scott to capitalize and take the win. Randy would be able to salvage a second place still able to end the night with the overall win. Jeremy on the other hand would finish fourth but be docked one position for the take out.
All three main events would all have their share of people getting docked due to last lap take outs this week making each ones final finishes very interesting. Jace Hansen would also not make it this Wednesday and drop him back to seventeenth in points. The overall series points are still a close one with only ten points separating the top three. With the nice weather came great racing Wednesday night at Unser. The league drivers would be anxious to drive after the start time was pushed back slightly. Everyone would opt to run no practice and longer qualifiers this week giving drivers the chance to find their groove while also letting the tires and track warm up.
With the C main up first, they would continue to stay the cleanest drivers out there. Michael D would benefit from the random grid on the start of the first main event scoring a great 2nd place spot. He would have a great start but would struggle to hold the slightly quicker drivers off and slide back a few positions. Scott H. would be the opposite and charge up through the pack. He would need to due to the quickness of the race. James C. who would start on the pole would be able to drive a clean consistent race and not allow Scott to catch him. Scott would, however, catch Philip S. and try and make a move at the finish that was unsuccessful.
The second main would start off giving Philip the opportunity to see James lines. They would put a quick gap on Scott but defensive driving would allow Scott to catch back up with two laps remaining. They would end the Race almost bumper to bumper with no one able to make the pass. James C would be perfect on the night in the C main with a 1 – 1 finish and win the overall, followed by Philip with a 2 -2 finish in 2nd and Scott with a 3 -3 finished for 3rd.
The B main would see some new drivers that were in the C main last week. James M would be the one to watch as he would start on the pole. He was able to learn from any mistakes that were made last week and squeak out the first B main event win. Randy G. however would be the one that was looking to stop him. Starting fourth he took a few laps to get through traffic, after a few laps he would catch him and when he did it a close one to the finish. Randy pulled up next to James and finished just a tire distance behind him. There would also be a pretty good battle towards the back that would be between Toni K. and Oscar Z. Midway Oscar would make the pass and Toni would study his lines only to make one last passing attempt that would be denied. He would turn his fastest lap time and build on that. Second main would start with quite a bit of contact and mix a few spots up right away. Again the battle would be up front and at the midway point be a five-way battle for first. Derek B. would be in this battle and make the most passes. As he passed into fourth Randy would make a huge mistake in the split and loose lots of time rubbing against the split, which would allow Derek into third. After making another move at the finish the race would end close for the top three. James would go 1 – 1 this week in the b main. After winning the c main last week this proves his a driver with some talent.
The A main came out firing and as one of the fastest drivers Greg W. would get stuck on a barrier in turn one as he tried to make quick work starting a 7th grid position. Jeremy wall would try and capitalize this and get out to and early large lead. Greg would be making moves starting with showing Michael M. last week’s winner a wheel at the Finish line. Michael would hold him off. Michael and Greg would come up on Brian C. He would leave the door open taking the smoother, faster line, which allowed the two of them to slide to the inside. Coming towards the end of the race they would catch Scott R. and it would be time for the most action of the race on the last two laps. Michael got the drive at the finish and would make the pass on the inside while Greg drafted him and would follow Michael through. Greg would then get to the inside of Michael at the split and make the pass. While Michael was worried about Greg pulling away Scott would sneak back to that inside line going into the second one eighty and make the pass back for 3rd.
The second main event would tighten everything back up and start off again With Greg showing Jeremy a wheel to the inside at the finish line. Jeremy would have the momentum and drive his own line for the next few laps, not showing any signs of weakness from the pressure. Greg would get the momentum he needed to get along side him and make the pass stick around the outside of the first one eight an unusual spot. Jeremy would look to make a pass back with Scott all over him waiting to capitalize on any mistake. Jace H would be one to suffer from the unfortunate luck of a tenth place start in the first main but would now be into fourth and looking to catch the lead pack while turning the fastest lap time. However he wouldn’t be able to close very much because the lead pack was also not far off his 19 second laps. Coming down to the wire Scott would try that greatly used inside on the second one eight and would bump Jeremy slowing them both down. Jeremy was able to keep it under control and recover staying in second. However Scott would not be so lucky Jace was close enough to make the pass into third. And that would round out the top three with Greg in the lead. When the points where added Jereme’s consistent 2 place finishes in round 1 and 2 has put him 1st in overall points with a 6 point gap between him and Michael M in second.
That wraps up another week of leagues with spring break the next few weeks were expecting lots of new drivers to show up. Check back next week to get the run down and see what mystery drivers might be mixing things up.

Now there shouldn’t be any confusion if we are in business or out of business. Isn’t the rumor mill great! New signs, new karts, and lot’s more changes on the way.
